PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana
The Government of India has launched the ambitious PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana to encourage households to install rooftop solar systems. This scheme makes solar power incredibly affordable through direct central financial assistance (subsidy).
Current Subsidy Structure for Residential Households:
The subsidy is transferred directly to the consumer's bank account after successful installation and inspection.

What is the Solar Subsidy?
The Government of India (through MNRE) gives ₹/kW discount to people who install On-grid Rooftop Solar Systems.
It’s called PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
Target: Give up to ₹78,000 subsidy and 300 units/month free power for eligible homes.

How to Apply for Customers
1. Customer registers on https://pmsuryaghar.gov.in
2. Choose your state → DISCOM → apply
3. Wait for DISCOM approval
4. Install system via authorized vendor
5. Upload installation proof
6. Subsidy is credited directly to the customer’s bank account
Note:
● Subsidy Only On-Grid rooftop systems are eligible (domestic Homes)
● Installation must be from approved vendors only
